Onomatopoeic

Finally the much awaited break is here, although I can't really call it a break since I'm required to go back to school on some days. Mum decided to cancel our plans for an escapade to Medan. Ohwells. Hopefully we still can go somewhere. Even Batam or Bintan will do; I just need to escape Singapore's hectic and fast lifestyle for a while. And practise my rusting Indonesian. My brain was slightly lagging when I was watching the Indonesian serial 'Ikhlas', especially when they started to use Javanese or Betawi words. Typical of people living in Jakarta.

Have been busy filing up all my humanities documents in my treble Humanities File - Literature in English, Modern World History (Elective) and Social Studies. I recollected so many documents that my file is nearing the brim already. Don't know if I should exclude the assignments, since they're taking up the most space. In fact, I didn't include the slide printouts for our understudy of Germany because it was really thick. And I have 2 to 3 more terms to go, in which we can do a hell lot of work.

Bummer. But my file's real nice right now, and not to mention, organised. Literature is the largest of the three. Whoo. Talk about heavy workload. But then again, it is my core Humanities afterall. And Mr James Koh gave more notes and references to his class than Ms Koh did, I guess.

Oh yeah. In the morning today I had make-up tuition, afterwhich I ran off to Kinokuniya to get my book on Practical Criticism by Palgrave; a follow-up of the Palgrave Literature in English book which I bought. After getting my PratCrit book at Kinokuniya, I rushed down to school. All the way from Orchard to Bedok. Just to make sure that my dear darling junior Marcus gets his handphone and watch back on the day he returns to Singapore itself. What a nice senior I am. Haha. Then sat around the PB room for quite some time, reading the free Newsweek which the magazine vendor gave to the PB. Good stuff. Was reading about the Pope, the Iraq war and things like that. Kinda provocative stuff they have, although I must comment that a lot of these things are slanted towards the US and the West. Even Times magazine, sadly. For now, I'll loyally trust my Reader's Digest to present me less politically-slanted articles. Woohoo.

I got a bit hungry after some reading, and in the end, Yap Heng and I ended up going on a 'date' to Burger King at Parkway. Haha. Had a lot of insightful talks about each other's life, and our views on certain issues. Talked about my life in Germany, while he told me about his in Hungary. I miss Europe and it's laid-back lifestyle. Haha. Decided to take 31 all the way back with him to Potong Pasir after that. I took the NEL from there, afterwhich I transferred to the LRT. Took me some time, but the station is - oddly enough - named after my estate's cluster of blocks: "Coral Edge". My block is not even next to the station. It's about 3-5 minutes walk away, depending on your speed. Anyway, sometimes I find the name stupid. Punggol Fields and Punggol Eastdale sounds more like a name for a cluster of blocks. Imagine a condominium named Coral Edge. Sounds so little mermaid-ish.

Anyway.

It's kinda wasted that I didn't get to know my juniors well before this. The whole load of them. I'm a S4 student going for his second term already - don't know how much more I can learn, and how much more peer-to-peer relationship I can develop. Sigh. People come, people go. But I hope these people I met has come for a reason, and not for a season.

Anyway, tis' the season to start mugging. Will be having tuition (again) tomorrow. Intend to complete most, if not all of my A Maths holiday assignments latest by Wednesday. But I might have some problems with the Permutations and Combinations part. Bah.

Ohwells. Sleeping time. Will start on my Ex 15B homework for A Maths tomorrow morning. Differentiation of Trigonometrical values is the first time ever that I enjoyed and actually had fun with Trigonometry. The excitement which burns in you as you try to get the correct answer is overpowering. Absolutely sensational.

Okay. This nerd-cum-muggertoad here needs to sleep now. Ciao and take care!
